The success of Spanish tennis over the last decade is indisputable.

Spain was the country with the most players among the top 100 of the ATP ranking over a seven-year period. Out of 66 ATP tournaments in 2002, Spanish players took 10 wins and were present in 21 final matches. Spaniards won 15% of ATP tournaments in 2002. 32% of ATP Tournament finalists were Spaniards in 2002. Over the past 10 years, Arantxa Snchez Vicario and Conchita Mart nez were almost always among the WTA Top Ten.
