The Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) has signed an agreement with the Sanchez-Casal Academy to host a new 50,000$ ATP Challenger tournament in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona), plus hospitality the week of 8 October. The signed agreement is for 3 years until 2020.
The tournament occupies one of the 3 weeks of the ATP Challenger circuit purchased by the RFET to facilitate the access of young Spanish tennis players to the first level competition, without the need to travel abroad.
The signing of the agreement has had the CEO of the RFET, Miguel Díaz; accompanied by the Sports Director, Javier Soler; along with Emilio Sánchez Vicario, CEO Sánchez-Casal and Marisa Sánchez Vicario.
