Last Friday a class of 12 students, (which added to the 13 who recently did so at the Florida headquarters means 25 student-athletes) graduated from the Academia Sánchez-Casal and ESIS Barcelona, who will pursue a university career in the United States and/or Europe, combining sport and studies.
From Business Administration at Endicott College or the case of Alex Yu, a student from China, (who will study in Connecticut and play with the Huskies university team, with the aim of becoming a professional tennis player), to Fashion Design at Bradley University, Sociology and Anthropology at Queens College, Bioengineering at Franklin & Marshall College,
A very emotional day, considering that the Academia Sánchez-Casal celebrates this 2019, its twentieth anniversary, since Emilio Sánchez Vicario and Sergio Casal created an innovative center for high performance tennis and studies, with the aim of creating opportunities in life through tennis.
Emilio Sánchez Vicario, in his speech affirmed 'Believe in your dream, because dreams come true. Work hard for them, always maintaining your values, values that are forged in these ages, and that will always be you. I hope that we, tennis and school, have helped you on this path, which is the beginning for a next stage'.
